Psalm
23 Camp always has some type of jobs available of a part-time or
temporary nature. Presently we have two primary needs. Below are
brief descriptions of those two jobs.
If
you are a college student desiring internship experience we encouraged
you to inquire even though you may not see a job below that fits
your interest and qualifications. This is especially true if you
desire experience working at a summer camp.
Carpenter: Work Projects Coordinator |
Time: 2-4 months
covering the summer 2004 months.
Qualifications:
(1)Carpentry
skills, including ability to estimate jobs and make materials lists.
(2)
A desire to work with others, particularly teens.
(3)
A desire to help others with hands-on carpentry
Responsibilities: As a part of the Servants At Work workcamp program this individual
would visit work sites, make estimates for cost including building
materials. Additionally, this person would help supervise the work
of some of the volunteers who come to camp to help these homeowners.
Compensation: Room and meals and wage that will depend upon persons qualifications.
Internship: Media Major College Student |
Time: 8-10
weeks beginning soon as possible after June 1, 2004
Qualifications:
(1) Communications major and/or adequate skills in
photography and computer graphics. Web page training would be helpful,
but not a necessity.
(2) A desire to work with teens.
(3) A desire to help those in need.
Responsibilities: This work is a part of the
Servants At Work program at Psalm 23 Camp. The primary responsibilities
will involve digital photography, web page maintenance, daily communications
between staff and visiting campers. The person would spend some
time doing video work. Additionally this individual would be responsible
coordinating some of the evening activities. As with all camp staff,
there are various other duties as assigned when the need arises.
Compensation: Housing
and food, plus a stipend based upon qualifications. |
